Ormi already knows who worked, for how long and on what. Gusto already runs your payroll. The gap between them is somebody retyping a timesheet on a Friday afternoon, which is where overtime gets miscounted. Ormi closes it with an export: a week of approved hours in Gusto's Smart Import format, with regular, overtime and double time per person and per workweek, ready to upload to your payroll in about a minute. It is a file you upload, not an automatic connection.
Managers approve each technician's week in Time tracking → Timesheets. Only approved weeks are exported.
Time tracking → Exports → New export. Choose the pay period and the format "Gusto payroll import", then download.
In Gusto, run payroll and use Smart Import to upload the file. Gusto matches each row by name and email and fills in the hours for you to review before you run payroll.
Real workflows, not marketing bullets.
No. Ormi exports the hours in Gusto's import format and you upload the file in Gusto. It takes about a minute and needs no Gusto account access from Ormi.
No. Gusto runs payroll, files your taxes and pays your people. Ormi supplies the approved hours and stops there.
Gusto matches by name and email. Use the same email for each technician in Ormi and in Gusto and they match on their own; anyone Gusto can't match is shown to you to pick before payroll runs.
Gusto checks each workweek against your account's workweek setting. Set Ormi's workweek to start on the same day (Settings → Jobs → Time tracking) and the dates line up.
