Square and Ormi
Card processing in Ormi runs through Stripe today, on-site swipes included. A Square connection for shops that already own Square terminals is on the roadmap and is not built: nothing in Ormi reads or writes a Square account yet.

There is nothing to connect yet
Ormi has no Square connection to set up. Payments run through Stripe, which you connect under Settings, Integrations, Stripe. If Square is a condition of switching, say so at /contact-us and we will give you a straight answer on timing rather than a date on a card.
What shops ask this for
The reasons it is on the list. None of these work yet.
- Retail-adjacent shops, such as appliance repair with walk-in parts sales, that want the storefront to stay on Square

Square integration questions
Can I take card payments today without Square?
Yes. Stripe is connected from inside Ormi and covers on-site swipes from the mobile app, emailed and texted payment links, ACH, and recurring billing for maintenance plans.
Will Square and Stripe run side by side?
That is the intent, with the processor chosen per job. It is a design goal and not a shipped feature, so do not plan a migration around it yet.
What happens to my Square payment history?
It stays in Square. Ormi imports historical transactions from no processor at all, Stripe included.
