Connect Stripe to Ormi
Stripe is Ormi's built-in payment processor. Swipe cards on the mobile app, email payment links, schedule recurring plan billing, and auto-reconcile deposits with QuickBooks. Industry-standard processing rates, no Ormi markup.
Stripe + Ormi in detail
How to connect Stripe to Ormi
Connect your Stripe account
Settings → Integrations → Stripe. Click Connect. Sign in with your Stripe credentials. If you don't have a Stripe account, one is created in the same flow.
Enable card-present for on-site swipes
Optional but recommended — turn on card-present processing in your Stripe dashboard to unlock lower rates for in-person swipes vs keyed transactions.
Test a dummy charge
Ormi provides a test customer + test job so you can run a $1 charge end-to-end before your first real invoice.
How shops actually use it
Real workflows, not marketing bullets.
- Tech collects payment on an iPad the moment a job is complete
- Office sends a payment link via SMS to a customer who wasn't on-site
- Monthly maintenance plan auto-bills every first of the month
- Ormi automatically reconciles a $500 deposit across 3 job invoices with QuickBooks
Stripe integration questions
Does Ormi mark up Stripe's processing fees?
No. You pay Stripe's standard rates (2.9% + $0.30 for cards online, 2.7% + $0.05 for card-present). Ormi's $1/job fee is the only Ormi-side charge.
Can I use a different payment processor instead?
Stripe is the primary option today. Square integration is available for shops already on Square hardware. We're open to adding others — request via /contact-us.
How long until Stripe deposits hit my bank?
Stripe's standard 2-business-day payout schedule. Same as anywhere else Stripe is used.
What about disputes and chargebacks?
Ormi surfaces dispute notifications in your dashboard with one-click evidence submission (includes job photos, signatures, and customer communication history).
