Field access and billing

Field access lets someone be dispatched, track time and complete work. It is free on its own; Ormi bills only for months a person does job work.

Before you start

  • Your role can manage users (Admin by default). Others see "Only an administrator can change field access".

Turn field access on or off#

  1. Under Team, open Field Access.
  2. Filter by Everyone, Field or Office to find the person.
  3. Flip their switch. The change is immediate.
  • On: "can now do field work". Access is free; Ormi bills for them only in a month they do job work.
  • Off: "no longer has field access". Months they already did job work in are still billed.
  • If they still have open jobs, Ormi warns you. Reassign those jobs.

Reading the page#

  • Have field access: everyone who can be dispatched. Free.
  • Did job work this month: the people who count so far this month.
  • On your next invoice: what you will be billed for when the month ends.

What if this fails?

Someone I turned off still counts this month.
They did job work earlier in the month, which is billed. They will not count next month unless jobs they are still assigned to are completed.
