Take a payment in the field
Collect cash, a check, a card with Tap to Pay, or a bank transfer from the job on your phone.

Collect the payment
- On the job, open Collect Payment.
- Choose Cash, Check, Card or Bank transfer. A check needs the Check number.
- For Tap to Pay: tap Continue with Tap to Pay, check the amount on Confirm Charge, tap Tap to charge, and hand the phone to your customer to tap their card.
- Confirm. The invoice updates when the payment is recorded.
The first time, the app walks you through Activate Tap-to-Pay.
With no signal
Cash and check are saved and sync later. Tap to Pay, card and bank transfer need a connection.
What if this fails?
- "Online payments need setup".
- Your company has not connected Stripe yet. Record cash or check, and ask an admin to finish Connect payments.
- "Tap to Pay needs setup" or "needs Android 11 or later with NFC".
- Ask an admin to turn on Accept Tap to Pay payments on the Provider tab of Payments in the web app. On an older phone, use Card, which opens a secure checkout in the browser.
- "Tap to Pay needs internet".
- Reconnect, or take cash or a check, which work offline.
