What a job needs before it can be completed
The photos, notes, signature, time and forms your company can require, where admins set them, and what technicians see.
- For
- Admin, Owner, Technician
- Where
- Web app, Android app
- Updated
Set the rules (admins)
- In the web app, open Jobs under Settings in the sidebar, then the Completion tab.
- Set the company defaults: Photos required (and Minimum photos), Notes required, Customer signature required, Time tracking required, and whether to Allow quick complete.
- Optional: override them for a specific job type.
- Save.
- If you never change these settings, one photo is required to complete a job.
- Job forms marked required must be submitted. Checklists are recommended and never block.
- Allow quick complete waives photos, notes, time and forms.
What technicians see
- On the job, the bottom bar says how many items are left, with a Review Items button.
- Tapping Complete Job with something missing shows the first missing item, for example "Customer signature is required" or "0 of 2 attached" for photos.
- When everything is done, the bar reads "Review and finish this visit." and Complete Job goes through.
What if this fails?
- A technician says they took photos but still cannot complete.
- Marked-up copies of a photo do not count toward the minimum. Take another original photo.
- The rules are too strict for small jobs.
- Turn on Allow quick complete, or override the rules for that job type on the Completion tab.
